| COMPETITIVE
TEAM PLACEMENTS |
| |
If your son is in the Under-9 age group or older and desires to be considered for a competitive team, please check the placement dates and location on the BUSC web page (http://www.BUSC.org). Your son should attend placement days if you feel that he has the ability or has shown the ability to play at the Division 1 or Division 3 level. A good barometer over the past few years is if your son’s skill was in the top half of his team or if your son has expressed a desire to play competitive soccer. If so he should attend placement days. Shin guards are mandatory at placement days. No player will be allowed to participate without them. |
| |
| EQUIPMENT
AND UNIFORMS |
| |
Uniforms are provided to all players in Division 4 only as part of registration. U-8 players and above will receive both a “home” and “away” jersey. Parents are responsible for providing appropriate footgear and shin guards. Shin guards are mandatory at all practices and games. |
| |
| REFUND
POLICY |
| |
Refunds will be granted for registered players for any reason if requested and received by Opening Day, September 8th. A $20 service fee will be withheld for refunds requested by May 31st. A $50 service fee will be withheld for refunds requested between June 1st and Opening Day.
All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing or by email. After opening day, no refunds will be granted for any reason. |

| THE
2008-2009 SOCCER SEASON |
| |
Division 4 training (practice) generally begins after team notification and usually within the first couple of weeks of August. Division 1 and 3 training begins as announced. The Division 4 playing season runs from the beginning of September to November. |

| DEVELOPING
SOCCER SKILLS FOR U5-U8 PLAYERS |
| |
BUSC has one of the most comprehensive youth soccer training programs in Northern California. BUSC training starts with our U-5 through U-8 programs. The emphasis is on providing a FUN environment where the players learn soccer techniques (individual skills) through exercises and small-sided games coached and officiated by parent volunteers. Each team will have one scheduled practice a week with Saturday games.
Coach volunteers receive a BUSC coaching curriculum designed specifically for the age group he or she is coaching. The curriculum is a comprehensive document that includes all information necessary to coach and teach the U5-U8 players from the beginning through the completion of the season. The curriculum includes weekly training sessions and age appropriate exercises to teach the players in the BUSC way. Coaching clinics will also be conducted by the professional staff throughout the late summer and fall. |
| |
| VOLUNTEERS:
KEY TO SUCCESS |
| |
The Ballistic United Soccer Club serves our players through the involvement and dedication of volunteers. We are continuously in need of volunteer assistance throughout most of the year to support league and team needs In order to fulfill this need, we require that each family of age groups U8 and older sign up for a specific volunteer activity and pay a $50.00 volunteer fee, per child, to the club at registration. This fee will be reimbursed after the volunteer commitment has been completed. No reimbursements AFTER December 31, 2008 |
| |
| AGE
GROUP COORDINATORS |
| |
Each age group is assigned an Age Group Coordinator (AGC) who serves as a staff member of the Registrar. The AGC formulates teams, handles late registration, helps find coaches, and assigns new players to teams during the season. If you would like to coach, referee, volunteer your time to the club or have any questions, please e-mail your Age Group Coordinator or Director of Play. BUSC needs your help.
